Vanesa Jiménez Rodríguez
Officially certified in Zumba and a ZinTM member, Vanesa Jiménez Rodríguez is a zumba expert with wide experience in this sport. Her career as a Zumba teacher began in 2005 and, since then, she has taught at the Neighbourhood Association “La Zaporra”, the school Luis de Góngora in Leganés, the leisure Centre “Érase una vez…”, the Palomares gym and the school “Coslada Dance Studio”.
Nowadays, she combines her job as a Zumba teacher at the El Lucero school with zumba classes in the dance studio “Lunares Blancos” and the sports centres “GoFit Vallehermoso” and “GoFit Montecarmelo”.
She is also an instructor of other sports such as Salsation in “GoFit Vallehermoso” and the “Republic Space” Sports Club and she is a aquafitness and Latino instructor in “GoFit Vallehermoso” and “GoFit Montecarmelo”. Vanesa Jiménez Rodríguez is also closely linked to the world of spanish dance, classical dance and modern dance.
Trained in Spanish Dance Pedagogy by the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Madrid “María de Ávila” and in Spanish Dance by the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Madrid “Mariemma”, Vanesa has also developed her professional career as a dance teacher in different disciplines, teaching both children and adults.
Her first job as a dance teacher was at Kids Coles, where she taught extracurricular classes of ballet, modern dance, classical-Spanish and flamenco dance for children and flamenco for adults. She continued teaching at the Escuela de Danza Miriam, the Centro Cultural de la Mujer y la Infancia in Alcorcón, the dance studio “Esther Cañizares” and JC Madrid Deporte y Cultura.
In 2015 she worked as a modern dance and ballet teacher for children in Cultural Actex and Bambalinas Mágicas. Since then until the present day she is a teacher of sevillanas and flamenco for adults and ballet and flamenco for children in the Dance Studio “Lunares Blancos”, “GoFit Vallehermoso” and Antares Danza.
During all these years Vanesa has also promoted her career as a dancer of Danza Estilizada, Folklore, Escuela Bolera and Flamenco in the GUCDE (2000 – 2008), the Compañía Lírica Nieves Fernández de Sevilla (2002 – 2005), the Compañía Lírica de Zarzuela de Madrid (2003 – 2007), the Ballet Flamenco de Madrid (2008), the Compañía Zambra (2008 – 2010 and 2013 – 2015), the Compañía Triana (2011), Quorum Dance (2010 – 2012), the Compañía Rodanza (2012 – 2014) and in Jesús Lozano Compañía de Danza Española (2014 – 2015).
She has always been exploring other musical and dance styles such as Mexican Folklore, Jazz and Modern Dance. Evidence of this are her trainings in the Ballet Folklórico Colores de México (2010 – 2012), Port Aventura (2012 – 2013), the Nahuí Ollín Association (2013), the Ballet Folklórico Cielito Lindo (2013 – 2014) or the dance group for entertainment in disco parties and special events F-Dance Crew (2014).
In addition to flamenco and Spanish dance classes, at El Lucero we also have zumba classes, a sport that combines aerobic exercises with Latin rhythms (merengue, samba, reggaeton, cumbia and salsa). A great way to benefit from the best of sport and dance and have a good time while burning about 1,500 calories.
