She was born in Mexico in 1985, in the bosom of a family of deep flamenco tradition. She is the grandniece of Carmen Amaya. When she was only nine years old, she made her debut in the company of her parents, the dancer Mercedes Amaya “La Winy” and the guitarist Santiago Aguilar.

The bailaora has performed as a soloist in the most important forums and tablaos in the world and has shared the stage with Tomatito, Los Losada, Farruquito, Gerardo Nuñez and has performed with dancers such as Maria Pages, Israel and Pastora Galván, Antonio Canales, Manuela Carrasco, Rafael and Adela Campallo, Torombo, Rafael del Carmen, Mario Maya’s company, Antonio “El Pipa”, Farruco Family, among many others.

She performed at the Arts Presenters, 46th annual members conference in New York and did a six-month season with great success at “El Flamenco”, the most prestigious tablao in Tokyo, Japan. She was a guest artist in the shows “Bailaor” by Antonio Canales, “Frente a Frente” by bailaor Juan de Juan, “Abolengo” by Juan Manuel Fernández “Farruquito” and “Dicen de mi” by Joaquín Cortés.

Throughout her career he has participated in different festivals such as the Quito Flamenco Festival in Ecuador; Festival de Arte Flamenco de Mont-de-Marsan in France; Festival de Arte Flamenco in Monterrey, Mexico; Festival de Jerez; Bienal de Sevilla; Suma Flamenca and Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque in New Mexico, United States.

In 2007 she toured extensively through the main cities of Japan and performed at the Centro Nacional de las Artes together with the Compañía Nacional de Danza de México.

In 2011 she premiered with her family the show “Amaya Linaje” which is a tribute to all members of the Amaya Family and is the main protagonist in the filming of the documentary “Bajarí” by Eva Vila, journalist, director and screenwriter of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

In 2012 he successfully presented his show “Desde la Orilla” at the Jerez Festival, in 2013 he performed with the dancers Pastora Galván and Paloma Fantova in the show “Con Carmen Amaya en la Memoria” a tribute to Carmen Amaya, making performances throughout Europe. In 2014 he presents with Paloma Fantova and Jesus Carmona the show “Cuerpo, mente, alma” at the Teatro Lope de Vega in the Bienal de Sevilla, “Gala Flamenca” with Antonio Canales and “8 códigos” with Carlos Carbonell.

In 2014 she participated in the Flamenco Festival cycle, performing in several tours in the USA, China and Europe. She performs in Suma Flamenca 2016 with Jose Maya and Juana de Juan.

” Gitanerías” in Mexico; “Casa Patas”, “Las Carboneras”, “Cardamomo” and “El Cordobés” in Spain and “El Flamenco” and “Garlochi” in Japan, are some of the most emblematic tablaos that have witnessed the dance of the bailaora and where she has shared with the greatest flamenco figures in the world. Currently she also collaborates with Tomatito as a guest artist in his show.
